Investment Analysis

Thorough analysis of investment opportunities is critical to making informed decisions. Typically, the Fund requires that each company provide:

  • a detailed description of the company, including information about background, products, competitive position, markets served, production, management, etc.

  • a written business plan outlining the anticipated growth of the business and supporting the assumptions used in the projections

  • projections for the next three years (balance sheets, income statements and cash flows)

  • historical financial statements for at least three years (balance sheets, income statements and cash flows).

In cooperation with the management of each Portfolio Company, Maguey will confirm the historic data by applying customary financial auditing techniques and will substantiate the assumptions and projections through direct interviews with industry specialists, suppliers, customers, and other appropriate sources.
