She has been an employee of Maguey Management since its formation in 1997. Previously, since 1993, Yvonne has worked with Bill Borlaug and Tony Baggett on varied investment activities on behalf of clients. From 1980 to 1983, she worked with Merrill Lynch in Dallas, assisting with the acquisition and sale of properties in Texas. Between 1983 and 1993, she worked for Mosaic Designs Ltd., a Hong Kong based designer and manufacturer of women's fashion clothing. Responsibilities included setting up retail outlets for distribution of goods, and opening and managing showrooms in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Dallas.

After graduating from Liverpool College of Arts and Science, she owned and operated an export antique business for seven years in Suffolk, England. In 1992, she moved to the US and joined Texas Instruments in Dallas with responsibility for public relations in the consumer products division.
